The basics – we are a small local printer. Mostly we put ink on paper and make products that help you market or run your business.
Anchor 8?
We liked Anchors (even though we are not really boat people) because my wife, and I got married on a Harbor Cruise in San Diego Bay. We themed the wedding with anchors and cruise ships and rope (tying the knot, LOL). So we thought starting a business together should reflect that. But we needed something more and I don’t have the sort of fancy beard to pull off a name like Anchor & Ink. My son had a suggestion that had us remember a place we spent a lot of time when we first met. The number 8 looks like the symbol for infinity and my wife and I got to know each other next to a fountain where water sprayed out in the shape of infinity. We liked the look and the sound of it and the idea that something could be grounded and secure, but also limitless.
